McCain talking points are revealed as Obama rejects call to cancel Friday’s debate

As Barack Obama rejects John McCain’s call for canceling Friday’s debate, our sister site in Colorado gets a hold of talking points accidentally sent out by a GOP spokesperson on how to discuss the suspension of McCain’s campaign. The memo, titled “TALKING POINTS: SUSPENDING THE CAMPAIGN,” was sent out in error to the entire Colorado media list by McCain represenative Tom Kise. It includes his warning: “Please do not proactively reach out to the media on this.”
According to PolitickerCO’s Jeremy Pelzer, Kise wasn’t pleased when he discovered that the list, meant only for volunteers, was so widely distributed. “F*ck, tell me I didn’t send it to the wrong list,” he reportedly said. The eight-point memo begins:
• To address our nation’s financial crisis, John McCain will suspend his campaign and return to Washington. He has spoken to Senator Obama and informed him of his decision and asked Senator Obama to join him. The campaign is suspending its advertising and fundraising.
Obama, in a press conference Wednesday, agreed that “there are times for politics and there are times to rise above politics and do what’s right,” but says the debate must go on: “This is exactly the time when people need to hear from the candidates.”
The Obama campaign contests the McCain camp’s assertion that the Republican candidate had “asked Senator Obama to join him,” — as the talking points state — saying it was Obama who initiated the communication about joint action on the economic crisis.
“At 8:30 this morning, Senator Obama called Senator McCain to ask him if he would join in issuing a joint statement outlining their shared principles and conditions for the Treasury proposal and urging Congress and the White House to act in a bipartisan manner to pass such a proposal,” said Obama spokesperson Bill Burton. “At 2:30 this afternoon, Senator McCain returned Senator Obama’s call and agreed to join him in issuing such a statement. The two campaigns are currently working together on the details.”

Ok! let’s look at this.
America has another problem and John McCain puts his tail between his legs and runs and hides. That gives his spin machine time to come up with a scenario where they are able to spin McCain into the imaginary hero of the moment. (Hurry up pull out the American flag) The problem for him is that Barack Obama will not play his games and McCain does not like it. What is his answer? Bo! Ho! You will not have ten town hall meetings with me. I can lie and slander you because you will not have ten town meetings with me. You can’t pick on me because I spent five years in a Vietnamese prison. I for one want someone that cares about the American people rather then flies his imaginary American Flag. It’s time for John McCain to finally grow up and face the American people without one of his lobbyists speaking for him.
