Video: Sarah Silverman calls for a ‘great schlep’ to Florida for Obama

Jewish people are the “most liberal, scrappy civil-rightsy people there are,” says comedian Sarah Silverman, but if John McCain wins the presidency, that’s who she’ll be blaming. Specifically, she’ll blame Jewish Floridians like her grandparents. In a new (colorfully not-safe-for-work) YouTube video, she’s helping launch “The Great Schlep,” a movement urging Jews to “schlep over to Florida and convince your grandparents to vote for Obama.” Her selling points range from Obama’s Israel policy to his culinary skills: “His brisket is beyond. It’s beyond.”
