The following table, from the Center for Responsive Politics’ Capital Eye blog, lists the top recipients of oil and gas industry largesse in 2008 US Senate races nationally. As you can see, Minnesota Sen. Norm Coleman ranks 10th on the list, just $200 behind indicted Sen. Ted Stevens of Alaska. More from Capital Eye on oil/gas and the ‘08 election here.

So is the implication that because Ted Stevens was indicted and just ahead of the list that Norm is somehow indictable? I think the list should be viewed as it is, Norm gets a lot of campaign contributions for energy companies.
