Does Norm Coleman support John McCain’s healthcare plan? Yesterday, as Al Franken was “unequivocally” backing Barack Obama’s proposal without hesitation, a video surfaced of Coleman aide Luke Friedrich sidestepping the question. Asked if Coleman is “aligned” with the plan laid out by the GOP’s presidential pick, he answered, “Senator Coleman is aligned with Senator Coleman’s plan.” Friedrich said. The left-leaning Center for American Progress Action Fund reported in September that “3.1 million Minnesotans could lose their employer health benefits under Sen. John McCain’s (R-AZ) health care plan, which would also lead to major reductions to Medicare and Medicaid.”

Marc Ambinder has the transcript and the video is making the rounds, from MNPublius locally to Talking Points Memo. Watch it after the jump.
