Carving out Obama and McCain: Which pumpkin is most fit to be president?

Looking to show your presidential pride this Halloween? A number of sites have come up with politics-themed stencils worthy of the best political cartoonists and satirists. A website called “Yes We Carve” is a gathering place for starving carve artists to download and share their Barack-o-Lanterns. And if the number of carvists choosing Obama over McCain stencils at Zombie Pumpkins is any indication of election fervor, the smiling Obama beats the shadowy McCain figure 65 to 34 percent.

McCainiacs get their pumpkin dues, too, at appropos sites like Spook Master and the hoary Better Homes and Gardens, where the Joe Biden pumpkin looks like The Joker, or pretty much any white guy you saw at Trader Joe’s last week, and Sarah Palin actually appears scarier on a pumpkin than she does in real life.
