I deleted the last part of the post about PACs, which said (incorrectly) that Madia and Dillon had each received only one PAC donation. That&#039;s true of Dillon, and Madia has received (and returned) only one &lt;em&gt;corporate&lt;/em&gt; PAC donation, but both of the leading candidates have received a large proportion of their contributions from PACs -- the difference being that Paulsen&#039;s war chest includes gifts from corporate PACs while Madia&#039;s does not.

He has accepted and spent money from other PACs.  According to CQ MoneyLine, as of August 20, 2008, Ashwin Madia had taken in $368,668 from PACs and candidate PACs.  This makes up about 30% of his fundraising totals.</description>
