Let's be clear, these types of imprudent loans, and those looking to sell them for quick cash, would've existed if the CRA did or not. One is that Bill Clinton and his treasury secretary Robert Rubin, diddled the rules to relax the requirements to allow more subprime lending as to benefit Rubin and his fat cat Wall Street friends. The other is that this was done several years ago by Bush and his deputies. The fact which has been reported which those like Bachmann are ignoring is that CRA related lending is really a small part of the problem.
