Betty McCollum’s position on the Iraq war
Monday, February 12, 2007 at 11:20 am
U.S. Rep. Betty McCollum, D-Minn., doesn’t want to see the president hold the course, and certainly doesn’t want to see a surge. In 2005, the 4th District congresswoman opposed the $80 billion supplemental appropriation for Iraq, saying her stance was “a vote of no confidence in the president’s Iraq policy.” Today, she still thinks that more money and more troops is the wrong way to go. “He put more troops into Baghdad and that has not proved to be successful,” she said, explaining the tactic resulted in more Iraqis and more soldiers being killed.

McCollum doesn’t support our troops? Gee, II wonder why the congresswoman is so dead set against bolstering our troops to fight the terrorists leading the Iraq insurgency?
I wonder if this has anything to do with it?
“As Prime Minister Ehud Olmert headed to Washington for a critical getting-acquainted meeting with President Bush, the fight in Congress over a bill that would severely curtail aid to the Hamas-controlled Palestinian Authority turned nasty this week.
“Rep. Betty McCollum (D-Minn.) voted against the measure in the International Relations Committee because she said she favored a less restrictive bill supported by the Israel Policy Forum (IPF) and Americans for Peace Now.”
Less restrictive? Does she wish to make exceptions for when and where HAMAS can gun down kids or is she in favor of allowing suicide bombers to operate only on Mondays?
And you say congresswoman McCollum stood tall with Keith X Hakim Ellison on this issue?
Imagine that!
BTW…didn’t we read something about congresswoman McCollum making a refusal to recite the pledge of allegiance to the United States of America one of her first acts in congress?
And didn’t the congresswoman oppose efforts to curb the burning of the American flag?
Actually she voted against that one three times.
Why do Democrats hate America?

Support? With what – shrink wrapped cash? “Who in their right mind would send 363 tons of cash into a war zone? But that’s exactly what our government did,” Democratic Senator Waxman said in a hearing!
The Federal Reserve sent over $4 billion in cash to Iraq in 2003 and 2004. It was followed by more than $2.4 billion on June 22, 2004, and $1.6 billion three days later. The largest transfers of cash money in the history of the U.S. Federal Reserve

Well, you’ve lost me here How does Betty McCollum’s support for HAMAS, and her passive agressive hatred of the United States translate into standing up to corruption?
Maybe that somehow makes sense when you look at it through an official moonbat decoder ring…can I borrow yours Grace?
