The DCCC announced Monday that they will drop $1 million into ad buys targeting Republican Rep. Michele Bachmann in Minnesota’s 6th Congressional district. The buy was motivated by the intense scrutiny over Bachmann’s remarks on MSNBC’s Hardball with Chris Matthews on Friday.
Bachmann told Matthews, “I wish the American media would take a great look at the views of the people in Congress and find out, are they pro-America or anti-America? I think the American people would love to see an expose like that.”
She also said that Barack Obama “may have anti-American views.”
Her comments generated outrage that drove thousands of donors to her DFL and Independence party endorsed-opponent El Tinklenberg. His campaign has received over $650,000 since Friday evening.

Like many of you, I was watching Chris Matthews and was so appalled by this woman, I went to Mr. Tinkleman’s site and gave him 20 bucks. REAL Americans have power through the internet, and we will never allow fascist fearmongers like this witch to have the power Joe McCarthy had.

Thank you DCCC for stepping up to the plate. I donated to Mr. Tinklenberg’s campaign on Friday after hearing Ms. Bachmann on HardBall. This country does not need to go back to McCarthyism ever.
How could Minnesota elect such a creature? The hate the Republicans are spewing are taking us places we never want to visit again. I want to choke when I hear or see McCain’s “COUNTRY FIRST”. The only Republican who put country first was Colin Powell. The rest NO WAY.

Do you know this woman says God gives her visions, telling her what to do? Watch this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l0rUBomKvY0
Bush says he invaded Iraq because God wanted him to. And Sarah Palin says that God wants her to expand drilling in Alaska. What’s to stop them from thinking God wants them to start World War lll, or the death penalty for women who have abortions?
Can we afford want another religious kook in U.S. government? This country is based on the separation of church and state. Please tell Bachmann to get her ‘church’ and visions of God the heck out of our state!!

I have never contributed money to a candidate whose name will never appear on my ballot. But after Michele Bachmann’s interview — after I’d picked my jaw up off the floor — I gave $25 to Tinklenberg. I also wrote to my own Congressman, asking him to move to censure Rep. Bachmann for her hateful, provocative remarks.

Her comments were judged correctly.
The only anti-American here is Bachmann. The only thing she left out were
her JACKBOOTS. She appears to be ignorant of the history of our Great
country and the era of Joseph McCarthy. She would have you believe that
liberals are anti-American and unpatriotic. This is blatant stupidity. In
reality it is her views that smack of Fascism. She even suspects that many
members of congress are unAmerican and should be given patriotism tests
by the media. Perhaps by Fox news. What a laugh that would be. We’ve not
seen the likes of these New Republicans since the 50’s, like the discredited
Republican Joseph McCarthy. If ever a miscreant needed to be kicked out of
congress it’s this woman and those like her that would divide the country
and create internal dangers to our liberties. I find that with extremist views such
as these that it would be very uncertain as to whether she could operate with the
best interests of the country in mind.

DEFEAT BACHMANN !
Send your $$ contributions, however modest, to El Tinklenberg to help defeat her.
Even if you do not live in Minnesota, help in races across the country to defeat the fear-mongers.
Bachmann does NOT represent America.
Dissent IS patriotic. This country was BUILT on the right to question your government and to dissent, or have the Republicans forgotten this ?!?!

WOW!! I guess the more I study politics and religion the more I realize that people are blinded by reality. It appalls me to read people’s comments about Bachmann being Anti-American. Have any of you who commented above studied history, or better yet other countries governmental programs. I do believe Iceland’s government just collapsed after attempting to nationalize their banks. Oh ya and Venezuela’s socialist government is doing really well, go ahead check it out. Why do you think people flock to the US? Back in the early 80’s people coming over on boats would get money before any American citizen who needed it and deserved. I mean after all they have been paying into the system for years. Wait a second you are right, it is Anti-American to give money to the taxpayers who lose their jobs or spouses and cannot make ends meet. Why? Because our new president would not allow this. The second our nation turned to socialism to solve today’s problems I too became Anti-American. If this what you people really want then move to one of the many nations that will provide this for you. Before you start making rational comments about politicians do a little research beyond what the news media has told you. It is called cross referencing. Apparently you have never heard of this, so I am recommending it to you today. Open a history book or read other countries newspapers then decide for yourself if what our new government is doing will benefit us today. Or continue herding along like majority of “Americans” and see where it lands you..
