All but lost in the shuffle by her comments on Friday about “anti-American views” are Rep. Michele Bachmann’s controversial words about immigrants at last Thursday’s candidate’s debate. Speaking before a crowd of 100 at the St. Cloud public library, Bachmann sparred with DFLer Elwyn Tinklenberg and Bob Anderson, an unendorsed member of the Independence Party (the IP endorsed Tinklenberg). According to the St. Cloud Times, Bachmann again blamed programs that encourage home-buying among minority and low-income people for the current economic crisis. But Bachmann reserved her sharpest words for immigrants. She referenced an early 2008 car crash by an undocumented immigrant who hit a school bus near Cottonwood as proof of the need for stricter immigration laws.
Of immigrants unlawfully in the U.S., she added, “They’re bringing in disease and violence and every sort of difficulty. We need to protect ourselves against that.”

Ms Bachmann points to one isolated case in a rural county on a cold night by an illegal immigrant tired after working a long day. But what does she have to say about the workers who come to work, for low wages, below the minimum, off the books, and off social security too who do jobs quietly that not many Americans choose to do? Does she vote to raise the minimum wages so people don’t have to work like strippers-below the minimum/?Does she fight for worker safety at the mines and factories? Where does she stand on regulations–to protect against unleaded toys, and unsafe cough drops from abroad. Itis always “There’s too much regulation, taxes are too high” so the regulations are not enforced because there’s no one to do so, or no rules at all.
Disease she says-where is she on universal health care,or better yet, health care for immigrants-Nowhere?

Undocumented immigrants are more law abiding than citizens. She flat out lied.

The republican party is going to come to an end in the next 20 years. I don’t think they are going to be able to win even a house or senate seat. If they don’t realise that America is a Melting pot.

Arlin,
The wreck happened during the day. If you are going to make stuff up, at least don’t be so obvious.
Josh,
You seem to be in favor of concentration camps, the gulag, or outright murder. Typical Lefty. Should the authorities be alerted to your threat upon her life?
Eric,
It’s districT. Did you go to publik skool?
Gwen,
Have you ever heard of MS-13? You know, the most violent gang in the US. Most of their members are illegal aliens.
Many American Citizens are killed every year by illegal aliens. Do a google search if you disagree.
As for Diesease. Go here. http://www.usillegalaliens.com/impacts_of_illegal_immigration_diseases.html
An excerpt
” Leprosy, a scourge of Biblical days, is caused by a bacillus agent and is now know as Hansen’s Disease. In the 40 years prior to 2002, there were only 900 total cases of leprosy in the US. In the following three years there have been 9,000 cases and most were illegal aliens.”
Higher risk thresholds (or lower credit quality) were forced upon the US banking system and Freddie and Fannie in 1999. The alarm was raised at that time that we were creating another S&L mess, but the liberals wanted more home ownership, even though it did not make financial sense (but it made them feel good).
