Damn I hate agreeing with Swiftee.
If you’re for freedom of the press, that means all the press. This isn’t Saudi Arabia. We don’t get to pick and choose.
A call to CBN or the Wash. Times for a more-equal response would’ve been nice, too.
Damn. I hate sticking up for these people.

Would we even CAIR if they were Lutherans? Would we even CAIR if they were Lutherans?
I used to be married to a woman whose family was from the Wisconsin Synod Lutheran Church. One thing that always bugged me is that every time we’d go out to eat, they would want to sing a prayer song before eating. For me, being raised in a different sect of Christianity, this always was offensive and embarrassing. But if I or another patron at Perkins were to complain to the manager, would the Lutherans be thrown out? Does CBM or the Washington Times have bureaus in Minneapolis to cover the suffering of the people who have to listen to the Lutherans singing?
With all of the fire and brimstone in the Bible, shouldn’t non-Christians be fearful of any Christian preaching about end of all ends. Should homeland security come and hold Pastor Infest for questioning?
I think it was OK for the airline to remove the Imams from the plane. However, once the investigation found that there was no threat, they should have been put on another plane immediately. Had that happened we wouldn’t be commenting on this today.

I second Chris Truscott’s comment It would have been good to get comment from these other reporters.

When those mad, mad Wisconsin Synod Lutherans start praying for strength …..to murder pilots and then fly airplanes into buildings, you’ll have a good point.
We’ll have to start screening for ‘tater tot hot dish which is known to be a deadly weapon.

I’m confused the statement in the story is from the Washington Times reporter.

Osama Bin Laden was responsible There does not seem to be any evidence that the Imams were plotting anything. I think it was well within the airlines power to remove and question them. However, There is nothing to suggest they were praying to kill the pilot or anybody else. These were American Citizens exersising their constitutional rights. Once that was understood, they should have been allowed to board another plane. Just because Osama Bin Laden is Muslim, does not make the rest of Muslims evil. Did you know Hitler was a Catholic? Should Lutherans singing a song in German during WWII been arrested? German Mass was one of the principles Martin Luther cited when he started the protestant reformation. Rampant hatred solves nothing.
