Blow Here: or How Accurate is the Intoxilyzer?

The Minnesota Supreme Court heard a case involving the source code for the Intoxilyzer breath tester Tuesday morning. The public safety commissioner is appealing a decision of a lower court that ordered the commissioner to turn over the source code for the Minnesota model of the Intoxilyzer 5000. The Intoxilyzer was used to test the blood-alcohol level for Dale Underdahl, who is questioning the accuracy of the reading.
Peter Magnuson argued for the commissioner, saying,
