If this guy was such a horrendous criminal, then why isnt he behind bars? Hasnt anyone asked this one? Why isn't he in Guantanamo instead of serving on school and other community boards in Chicago? Isnt that where TERRORISTS are held, to protect the greater good? So, probably hes not such a bad dude. Probably he did some radical stuff when he was young and stupid and full of manifestos. See "Earth First" and Greenpeace. And oh yah, the US Marines. Theres a reason most of our military force is under the age of 25. And god forbid you become "friendly" with all the ex cons, sex-offenders and activists in YOUR neighborhood, lest you become guilty by mere association. These ads are about as close to slander as I can imagine. It shows just how desperate the right has become.

Obama has a lot of dark spots in his past. His campaign doesn't know how many people oppose him. Silent majority will show on November 4!

I suggest that everyone who receives this flyer send an extra 20.00 donation to the Obama campaign and then mail the flyer back with a noted attached.

To be clear:

""CQ Politics — which has called the charge “so wrong it’s pants-on-fire wrong”""

The only thing this article disputes is that Ayers "ran" the foundation (although he was involved), and that it was a radical educational orginization. Essentially what the CQ article disputes is not what the leaflet is talking about.

Keep in mind much of what McCain says about Ayers and Obama is actually true and is not "Pants on Fire Wrong" like Schmelzer is suggesting.

The only thing that I could see as disputable about the leaflet is the implication that the two are friends. That allegation comes from this quote from david axelrod:

"Bill Ayers lives in his neighborhood. Their kids attend the same school," he said. "They're certainly friendly, they know each other, as anyone whose kids go to school together.""

Friendly, does not mean friend. You can be friendly to someone who you are not actually friends with, so i would have to agree that McCain may be stretching it too far on that one.

Only one thing to say -- this is the lowest of the low.
So much for the honorable campaign McCain said he wanted to run!

Yes! I got one of these too. What a delightful way for McCain to waste what's left of his money.
