I remember reading a quote from a Palin insider within a week or two of her being announced as the VP pick, that Palin would have her own agenda. Wish I could find that story again, but it came to mind this past week when Palin twice broke from the McCain camp. The recent incidents involved her call on banning gay marriage at the federal level (McCain's stand is that it is a State's rights issue) and on her critizing the use of robocalls. The first might be another example of her unfamiliarity with the McCain platform, but the second is far less questionable.

I think in these next few days, she may very well do it again. I expect she is going to start looking past this election and her own political viability. I think it's something worth keeping an eye on.
