Coleman’s latest ad: ‘The leader we need. Now.’

Norm Coleman faces a dilemma. Now that’s he’s promised to stop slinging mud at Al Franken, what does he actually talk about in his TV commercials? The Senator’s latest entry in the ad sweepstakes is a minute-long discourse on leadership. “In times as tough as this, it’s really easy to kind of be on the sidelines and cast stones and say, you know, ‘This is the problem and that’s the problem,’” Coleman says at the beginning of the ad, flashing his famous pearly whites. “I think people know we’ve got a problem.”

The Senator goes on to tout his experience and track record. Strangely, though, Coleman doesn’t actually cite a single specific accomplishment from his six years as a senator. Surely they should’ve hung some meat on them bones, no? Have a look:
