I wonder if the The Family Research Council could comment on revelations that Michele Bachmann has had close ties to an ex felon , Frank E. Vennes Jr, who contributed money to her campaign and who has been recently under investigation for bilking investors out of millions of dollars in a complex ponzi scheme.
Bachmann even applied for a pardon for the felon...which she later withdrew when it turns out he was making off with investors' money.
She just tried to reform herself by contributing tainted campaign donations Vennes made to her by contributing the money to a Christian drug rehab program called Teen Challenge.
Everything was looking good till it turns out that Vennes serves on the board of Teen Challenge.
Looks like the money went back into his pocket.

It's pointless to try to reason with the pro-life or anti-abortion right wing. Their world is so black and white they cannot see reason or facts namely that whether legal or not, abortions will continue at the same rate and numbers. Making abortion illegal only assures one thing: that women will not get safe medical care. They rabid insistence on making this so can only lead me to conclude that these people are not "pro-life" but very much pro-death or pro-injury of women who would dare have sex, get pregnant and then decide they cannot for whatever reason bring the baby to term. To me the response to their raving is simple: if you are against abortion, don't have one.

Their theology is also confused. In their foetus worship, the right has essentially established a new religion which has no basis in scripture. If God was pro-life, would He have ordered the Israelites to exterminate the people, i.e. every man, woman and child of Jericho, the Middianites and many other people inhabiting the promised land? I guess idolotry is not just for pagans any more.

Wow. Tony Perkins... THAT is a reliable resource for a recommendation. Of course, he is well on his way to following in the footsteps of many of the Religious Right leaders, that Bachmann adores, that set the standard for the "evangelicals" of this country: leaders like.... Oral "Eight Million $'s or god Kills Me" Roberts; Jimmy "Hooker John" Swaggart; Jim "Jessica and I Are Just Friends" Baker; Tammy Faye "Pharmascist" Baker; Benny "Faith Healing Billionaire" Hinn; John "Gays Are to Blame For Kristina and I support McCain" Hagge; Joyce "Four Mansions and Three Private Jets" Meyer; Kenneth "Millions of Dollars More In My Pocket Every Year" Copeland; Pat "Just A Plain Hypocrite christian In Every Aspect Of My Life" Roberston; and The Reverend Ted "Satan Made me Gay But Now I'm Cured" Haggard.

It's just sad it took this long for people to wake up to Bachmann...
