I have dealt with Frank Vennes personnally. I owned a riverfront property in the Honeymoon Hills subdivision in Merritt Island, Florida. Frank and Kimberly Vennes bought the house opposite my property and put me through hell when I was trying to build. He used his lawyer (Craig Howse of MN) to hire a series of lawyers sending me lawsuits after lawsuits and I finally had to sell him the property, thereby ruining my dream. I am a regular five figure income guy (meaning I was making less than $100K) at the time and I had to hire a lawyer. I guess that Frank thought that he was moving into a very high end neighborhood and that the could attract more clients for his Ponzi scheme. I found out that he sold both properties in 2006 and moved to the very affluent neighborhood where those people cans trust him with their millions. Jupiter Fl is home to the richest people in the US (more than Palm Beach). At the time he was kicking me, I ran a search on him and his conviction did not show up. Do not trust your neighbors, especially if they like litigation.

Thanks to Karl for his detailed reporting on this tangled mess, pulling together all the pieces. What a great story. I hope the authorities followup.

I have been wondering about the “small business” that Rep Bachmann described last week on MPR that she says she and her husband built. Are there really 42 “employees”? Or are they independent contractors? Whats the nature of the business?

Oh and P.S., she said she had “over 23″ foster children. What kinda parent doesn’t remember excatly how many kids they have raised?

I really hope the financial and ethical practice of Teen Challenge are investigated by the State. The State gives thousands upon thousands of dollars annually to Teen Challenge for rehab of drug addicts. They used those funds for questionable tactics in dealing with clients including discrimination against people they don’t deem worthy. Additionally, it has been spectulated amongst some people in human services that Teen Challenge encourages clients to lie to the county case workers to collect their payments. The ties between TC and Vennes will hopefully be the last straw.

Holy geez. What a web we weave, Michele. Now here’s a life I cannot imagine. One has to wonder about your “good heart”, right? I mean I have read novels about such characters, but I would never expect they exist, much less associate with them. I guess these stand up folks are the pro-Americans you speak of so eloquently. I am grateful to be in the opposite group, whatever you like to call us. Your God must really be forgiving, sister! Is it time to be born again??? Oh, how tiring being born over and over! Pssst…..I hear you can find God in prison.
