Friday, March 30, 2007 at 10:20 am
St. Paul City Council and Board of Education candidates have been smiling for the camera. St. Paul E-Democracy has given all candidates a chance to have their say and make it available on YouTube.
Ten candidates have already taken advantage of this opportunity and said their piece. Each of the videos runs less than five minutes. Volunteers from St. Paul E-Democracy set up the equipment and invited candidates to walk in to tape their statements. Tim Erickson, who coordinated the videos, said, “Part of the goal of this project is to demonstrate to candidates and other local residents how easy it is for anyone to take advantage of online services like YouTube to make a powerful statement on issues that matter in our community.
