"She even misunderstood child protective services, calling it a welfare program . . . I mean, come on."

Agreed -- and this even AFTER others had answered the question ahead of her! Given the topics ahead of time, she didn't do her research and prepare her answers. I think she only ever tends to vote the way the Republican Party tells her to, and spit out the talking points they give her, rather than investigate and speak about issues herself. I'm sorry, but homework is part of the job, as is communication. I see no strength in anything I expect in someone who is to represent me, and she has no background which suggests she can "come up to speed" as her supporters keep saying she'll have no trouble doing. Her resume consists of exactly one item -- an administrator at a church with 30-40 members. Her endorsements are weak compared to the impressive list of endorsements Marsha Swails has. This resident of Woodbury will be voting for Marsh Swails on Nov. 4!

Icky. Make it stop. I could only take about 1:30 of this. I felt so bad for her. Yikes.

It was really embarrassing, especially since she was given a list of the topics to be covered and even summaries about the issues, and still couldn't form a coherent thought. She even misunderstood child protective services, calling it a welfare program . . . I mean, come on.
If the republicans want this seat back so badly, why would they put up a candidate who is clearly so under-qualified? Makes them look desperate. I hope the people of Woodbury realize that Marsha Swails had a really impressive first term, and deserves to be re-elected, regardless of her party affiliation.
I know Woodbury is traditionally a republican stronghold, but you can't possibly throw out Swails for Bohlsen, can you?
