It is against the law and a deportable offense for non-citizens, legal or illegal, even to register to vote. What safeguards exist in Minnesota to ensure that all registered voters are legally eligible to vote?

This is a blatent lie. Ritchie's charges are completely without merit and appear to be nothing but an attempt to deflect scrutiny away from questions about the voter rolls and smear his critics. The TV news media ran wild with Ritchie's accusations on Wednesday, but shut out coverage of Minnesota Majority's response and even the volunteer in question, herself. They didn't want to run her side of the story. Details at http://www.minnesotamajority.org - see for yourself.

Voter indimidation/suppression fits the "narrative" but simply isn't trye in this case. This was legitimate citizen research in an attempt to answer questions the Secretary of State wouldn't adequately address. I guess this is what happens in this state when citizens ask difficult (or "the wrong") questions of their elected officials - trumped up charges and smears.
