Invest St. Paul to Focus on Foreclosure

St. Paul will be focusing its new Invest Saint Paul program on foreclosures. Home foreclosure is a significant problem in the program areas of Frogtown, North End, Dayton’s Bluff and the Lower Eastside. The foreclosures and vacant properties in these neighborhoods are the starting point for the city to focus reinvestment and try to turn around these struggling neighborhoods.

In a press release Mayor Chris Coleman said, “Recent economic challenges, especially with sub-prime loans have made for a difficult situation for some families in Saint Paul. The City needs to reassess our ability to help families stay in their homes.
