Franken recanted that book while under oath during a law suit for defamation. He said he was just kidding and that the book was for entertainment purposes, only. He won the suit. In other words, he convinced the court that the statements in his book were never intended to be taken as fact.

Titanium Dragon must have a Titanium Head. He uses FL 2000 as an example of Democratic electoral purity. Ti, Gore and the Dems went to court to have the votes in Blue counties ONLY recounted. The suit specifically wanted the Red counties excluded from any recount. And even more despically, tried to block the recount of military absentee ballots. In MN, how many bogus ACORN registrations were contested, hmm?

CyBear–There was no “brazen theft” of the Washington governor election in 2004. There were two recounts and one lawsuit. The Republicans lost the last count and the lawsuit. No evidence of wrongdoing was ever sustained, EXCEPT for a handful of Rossi votes that were taken off his total. Unlike Florida in 2000, there was no anti-democratic court to stop the process. Stop peddling lies.

p.s. In the much-anticipated rematch this month, Gregoire beat Rossi 53 to 47%. Due in part to voter distaste for Rossi’s sleazy ads (and Gregoire’s competent performance since 2004).

Maybe Minnesotans are just math-challenged generally. No one has yet corrected you for saying 18 is half of 32. (Hint: Half of 32 rhymes with Schmixteen.)

The reason the Republicans are crying is because they’re afraid because they won’t be able to fix this election. They love rigging elections and hate democracy. Its just that simple.

Coleman is whining because he wants to challenge it in court when he eventually loses the recount, which is fairly likely. He’ll whine about all sorts of stuff.

We saw the same stuff in Florida in 2000. They hate allowing votes to be counted fairly. They don’t want every vote to be counted.

There is PLENTY of evidence of mischief. Coleman has lost 77 votes since Wednesday afternoon, while Franken has picked up 372. Can you blame Republicans for being suspicious after the brazen theft of the governorship in Washington State from Rossi by Gregoire?

Maybe Frank needs to learn to provide a link. Franken shouldn’t have said that, but did he? You should still cite a quote before saying he said that. Besides, asking whether you should take what Franken says as truth is a way to dodge the obvious lying Fox and Pawlenty are engaging in.
