Bravo... Another great interview, Paul. MinMon is quite lucky to have content like this.

The media environment is depressing. Newspapers are so important. They often set the terms of the debate. That's not to say that blogs, radio and TV don't break stories, etc., but day in/day out you still need a strong daily paper.

Watching what's happening at the Strib and PiPress is scary. I'd hate to think that one day they'll resemble a KARE 11 broadcast.

No offense, but I really hate the Carpetbagger. Now that I know that Mr. Carr is from Minnesota, I might have to give it another shot, but my first impression was not good.

Shout-Outs to Schmelzer I assume it's modesty that kept Mr. Schmelzer from mentioning that one of the aforementioned Page One awards bears his name and Minnesota Monitor's, a second-place certificate for Web Site/Best Special Report in recognition of "One man, many votes: On owner-driven endorsements."
