On Fox’s Hannity & Colmes yesterday, Rep. Michele Bachmann, whose re-election to the House might put her in the “retread” category herself, criticized President-elect Barack Obama’s cabinet selections. Of Obama’s condidtional offer of the Attorney General job to Eric Holder, who served as Clinton’s deputy attorney general,  she said, “I don’t think any American sees this as change. This is more like back to the future, because we’re going for all the retreads back from the Clinton years. They’re all being paraded again in front of the American people. So we aren’t seeing changing, we’re seeing more of the same.” Holder, who has informally accepted the job, would be the first African American to hold the position.

Bachmann also called her infamous comments of Oct. 17, in which she expressed concern that Barack Obama and other members of Congress hold “anti-American views,” as “urban legend.” The Loon State legend told Alan Colmes, “It’s an urban legend that was created. That isn’t what I said at all.
