If Obama doesn't use people from the Clinton era, where does he get experienced people? How many Democratic administrations have there been in recent years? Even Carter's junior staff are hitting retirement. The only Johnson guy still around is hosting Bill Moyer's Journal. Besides, Obama has found some people like Napolitano, Plouffe, and Axelrod.

Ultimately though LBL, change doesn't come from Obama. It comes from us. Obama is just one instrument for doing that. You and me (and hopefully some others reading this) staying involved is really what will change things.

I doubt if there is a dime's worth of difference between an Obama cabinet and a Hillary cabinet.

I'm a moderate (fiscally conservative, socially liberal), who voted Obama. However, i agree with Bachmann, that I'm not getting what i voted for (thus far). If i had known Hillary would be in a top cabinet position, i would not believed in the promise of change so greatly, nor preached it to others. Obviously President Obama is a smart man, and maybe is lining up his cabinet with members who can get his agenda passed here and abroad, BUT my big concern is that change is not coming. And that even though the clinton years were good economically and peaceful, they had a few advantages not found today things that are here today:
1. Balance of Power- Newt and Bill worked well together. Whether they liked it or not
2. Osama was around, but not dealt with in any hardcore way...leaving the door still open for 9/11
3. The economy was successful only because of clinton but of policies set before he arrived by congress.

Hillary for secretary of state? The clintons have a moral compass that sways according to their own self interest, financial, power, and least importantly sexual. I thought baracks values and principles would be shared by his staff, and it looks like I'm wrong. Hopefully, barack will prove me wrong and somehow led his staff members...even the most self interested and elite to follow in his footsteps. However, i'm already concerned which is disappointing.

Maybe she has a point. The parade of Nixon and Ford retreads didn't turn out to a great idea. Maybe the next Secretary of State will have a understanding of Russia that isn't rooted in the Eisenhower era.

Does Bachmann's "more of the same" comment mean that we can expect more of the peace and prosperity that we saw when Clinton was president? I can live with that.
