Coleman reportedly countered by “expressing hope and confidence that Mr. Coleman would emerge from the recount victorious over Mr. Franken,” according to the conservative paper. Last week, Coleman took himself out of the running to be the head of the National Republican Senatorial Commitee. The Times also reports that Al Franken met with Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid during his allegedly “presumptuous” trip to D.C. today.
