Late Thursday, Minneapolis Mayor R.T. Rybak stepped into the recount fray, holding a press conference in which he appeared with City Election Director Cindy Reichert urging the secretary of state’s office to hold off on certifying vote tallies for Minneapolis Precinct 3-1, where 132 ballots have gone missing. Secretary of State Mark Ritchie has agreed to give the city “as much time as they need” to find a missing envelope that contains the ballots. Read the mayor’s release after the jump.
