Franken campaign withdrawing another 750 challenges
Friday, December 12, 2008 at 2:11 pm
Al Franken’s campaign is set to withdrawal an additional 750 challenged ballots in the U.S. Senate recount. Representatives of the dueling campaigns initially disputed roughly 6,600 ballots during the recount. But that number has dwindled steadily as both camps have acknowledged that some of their challenges were frivolous. With the removal of the additional 750 ballots, there remain approximately 3,500 disputed votes. The state canvassing board is scheduled to begin examining the challenged ballots on Tuesday.
