Caption contest: The recount cake — and the winner of the Coleman boot contest
Monday, December 15, 2008 at 1:03 pm
Today’s caption contest comes from Aaron Landry, who blogs this image of a recount birthday cake, which he says was made for Dusty Trice, an Al Franken for Senate staffer, by his mom. Leave your best caption in comments.
Plus, after the jump, the winner of our last contest, which featured Sen. Norm Coleman beside a gigantic boot at Red Wing Shoes.
Minnesota Independent staff as well as guest judges Erica Mauter from Cinna.mn/Fresh.mn and Chuck Olsen from The UpTake all weighed in.
And the winners are:
3. “Coleman pulls himself up by our bootstraps.” (Diane Kistner)
2. “Thanks, Nasser, but I’m a size 9 1/2.” (Jeff Shaw)
1. “Coleman seeks support of Red Wing of his party.” (Bob Moffitt)

Caption:
I voted for Dusty Trice, so shouldn’t that make it clear that I “INTENDED” to vote for Al Franken?

I just realized that I have talked with Dusty before — it’s an unusual name.
