Appointed by Blago, Burris shut out of Senate

What fate might Al Franken have faced today had he tried to take his seat in the U.S. Senate today? Although unlikely, he could’ve ended up where Roland Burris did: shut out and in the rain. The senator appointed by Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich to fill the seat vacated by the election of President-elect Barack Obama, Burris was refused entry to the Senate because his credentials were “not in order.” Illinois Secretary of State Jesse White declined to sign Burris’ certificate of appointment, siding with some Democrats who believe Burris’ shouldn’t be seated because he was tapped by the scandal-prone governor.
Watch Burris’ press conference after the jump.

Burris is a little innocent man, in the mist of the GIANT’S GAME.
