Where Oh Where Is the Watermelon? I Really Need a Healthy Snack.

With a coupon in hand, the tired fair-goer ordered a big bowl of watermelon at Andre’s Watermelons, a healthy food outlet at the fair just south of the Ye Old Mill and the Tom Thumb donuts.

Sorry, we’re out of watermelon, the manager said.

Wait, they’re on their way. They’re on the grounds. They’re on a cart and headed this way.

Moments later: They’re getting close. Look, by the Ciresi booth. Here they come.

Then Alexis Holt of Richfield, wearing a big red and white Dr. Seuss hat and wielding a big Dr. Kervorkian knife, began chopping. The result, refreshing and delicicious. And with the $2 off coupon from the Bargain Book, a good fair value at only $2.25.
