A cold day indeed for Minnesota: It’s bankruptcy for the Star Tribune

Expected but still momentous. Here’s a snapshot from a first draft of history — the Star Tribune’s telling of its own history, though not a pretty chapter of it (click on the story image to go to the Strib’s latest version):

For the docs see Strib’s reorg info page; for an FAQ see MinnPost’s Braublog.

Why the byline on this? There’s no story by Chris Steller, just a link to the Strib’s own story. Is this the future of online “journalism”?

And the ironic thing is, Dr. P, the Strib’s story doesn’t have a byline. I added some intro text after reading your comment. But hey, even before that I wrote the headline!

Thanks, Chris. I was staying up late and grumpily digesting this distressing news about the place where I used to work. Sorry to sound testy.
