“I’m Senator Norm Coleman.” That’s how former Sen. Norm Coleman starts out a new video put out by his campaign today. Conveying similar information to his new fundraising solicitation, the video comes across as an explainer on the upcoming election contest. But, from those first words out of his mouth, politics abound: He refers to the 225-vote lead certified by the State Canvassing Board “Al Franken’s artificial lead,” one that must be “corrected,” and accuses Franken of trying to “short-circuit Minnesota law.” The rest is familiar: double-counted votes, “inconsistent treatment” of rejected ballots, “alleged missing ballots,” etc. He concludes by expressing his belief in the electoral process — but with a long string of caveats:
“I fully expect, that when the election contest is completed, if it is done fairly, with no votes counted twice, and with all voters treated equally, I will win this election. Thank you, and God bless.”

he’s turned into such a sad, awful little man since I worked with him in the ’80s

Might be more convincing if he didn’t accept a new job with the Republican Jewish Coalition. Weird how he doesn’t even care that we can see he is lying. That is a politician for you, I guess.

Norm Coleman is nothing more than a self-important, hypocritical (so typical of the GOP) lying, blow-hard, flaming bag of crap! YOU LOST, deal with it!

The only way for what Coleman says to come to pass is to refuse to count votes of legal Minnesota voters as tabulated by the fair, open and public recount as required by law. And that would be un-American. Coleman is a shameless liar to the end.

Norm Coleman would not have even come close to being a senator if not for Paul Wellstone’s unfortunate demise. Remember on 11/05/08 Coleman came out AGAINST a recount and slammed Al Franken’s desire for one by saying that he was wasting Minnesota’s money by doing so. I suspect as a member of the Republican Party he conveniently forgot that as I understand it, Minnesota law demands a recount if the initial vote difference is less than 1000 votes as it was. So Mr. Coleman, friend of my sonny boy in Minnetonka, BITE ME!

Norm, I have been watching this whole process. My opinion is that you have contridicted what you say and your actions too many times. You know there are always mistakes during the voting process. You are outright calling the people involved as being cheaters. There is more then enough evidence that this race was a close call. It’s unfortunate for you, but now you are discrediting yourself by continuing this fight. First you want this and not that, then you waste more time and money and want those decisions orginally made by you to be changed.
No matter how you slice the pie, it’s still too close and you should stop this. We are all tired of it.
