Did Bachmann snub Pawlenty?

U.S. Rep. Michele Bachmann answered five questions for a conservative blog and didn’t seem too interested in her home state’s governor. On who she sees as the future of the Republican party: “Bobby Jindal is one of my favorites and is doing a phenomenal job as Governor of Louisiana,” she said. “His name’s not going away and as you know, he’s being talked about as a Presidential contender in 2012.”
You know who else is being talked about as a “presidential contender in 2012″? Minnesota’s Gov. Tim Pawlenty. Jindal’s even been clear that he’s not interested in the job.
Full quote after the jump.
You’re one of the fresh faces for the GOP. Who do YOU see as that future and why?
There are so many talented leaders in the Republican Party today, that you can’t possibly list them all here and do each of them justice. But Bobby Jindal is one of my favorites and is doing a phenomenal job as Governor of Louisiana. His name’s not going away and as you know, he’s being talked about as a Presidential contender in 2012. The Republican Party is not short on youth and talent, and the great thing is that many of our freshest faces aren’t afraid to embrace and make known their conservative beliefs.

“You’re one of the fresh faces for the GOP.” said seriously to Bachmann. I assume the GOP will recover eventually, but if the GOP withers away, put that on the tombstone.
