News that Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s pancreatic cancer is in an early stage and has been treated with surgery is encouraging. Although a serious disease, pancreatic cancer can be surgically removed before it spreads beyond the pancreas if caught at an early stage. The Supreme Court justice, who has a history of health difficulties, did appear to be heavily-bundled against the cold at the Jan. 20 presidential inaugural ceremony. She is 75 years of age.
