I can’t go lend my support and testify about the benefits of this medicine. I would risk losing my job if my employer saw me on TV! Think about people like me who can’t be there to testify for fear of persecution.????

you cant get fired for your political views!!! can you?

Take a common sense look at this. What's the one way to ensure that medical marijuana users buy it off the street and potentially add to illicit sales? Continue to keep it illegal. Given the very limited scope of conditions that would qualify, it's an absolute drop in the bucket number of users who would be able to grow and possess it legally for medical use. This is not rocket science, and no, the sky would not fall if this were to be signed into law, Governor Pawlenty.

Not only is this an end of life issue, it is a quality of life issue for those with serious disease who aren't on death's doorstep. Let's have a rational, compassionate approach in Minnesota. 13 states already have medical marijuana available. That's 25% of America.

I have Crohn's disease. It is a terrible disease. Maybe you know someone that has it? What about MS? Cancer?

The worst part of this legislative process for someone like me that is employed is that I can't go lend my support and testify about the benefits of this medicine. I would risk losing my job if my employer saw me on TV! Think about people like me who can't be there to testify for fear of persecution. All I want is to feel better and try to avoid pharmaceuticals with horrible side effects as much as I can. I'm not a "doper." I'm a person with horrible medical problems and want the right to use whatever medicine my doctors and I see fit. Current law does not allow me to do so. Please contact Govenor Pawlenty and tell him to let doctors, NOT law enforcement, decide what is good medicine. How ridiculous is that? Thanks for your ear, and please help if you can!

Jeff states the case perfectly. to send people to jail or give them a criminal record just shows how strong ignorance and fear control our laws. What a waste of law enforcement resources/tax dollars. Legalize Cannabis/Hemp. Create jobs, increase our tax base and lower
the number of people in our jails.

Any threat to public safety would be removed by legalizing Marijuana, taxing it, regulating it and selling it. This would remove all confusion for law enforcement and the people. It is painfully clear that our laws regarding Cannabis are based on lies and prejudice disregarding and preventing any scientific and medical research and facts. How smart is that??? Besides everyone knows that this point is the last stronghold the anti-marijuana crowd has to try and stop the legalization of Cannabis/Hemp.
