National Park ServiceA bottom-up effort is underway within the National Park Service to raise awareness about climate change and the need to address its impacts on our natural parks. One of the leading voices has been Bob Krumenaker, superintendent at Lake Superior’s Apostle Island National Lakeshore in northern Wisconsin.

Krumenaker is in the Twin Cities this weekend to speak at an event 10 a.m. Saturday at the Mississippi River Visitor Center in downtown St. Paul. He spoke with Minnesota Monitor this afternoon about what global warming means for national parks and the Midwest.
