The Daily Mole sorted through the Open Secrets campaign database to see the breakdown of individuals giving maximum $2300 donations to candidates hoping to unseat Sen. Norm Coleman.

Al Franken — supported by big names in Hollywood including Larry “Seinfeld” David, James L. Brooks (“The Simpsons”), Tom Hanks and others, not to mention locals with prominent names like Kaplan and Pohlad — got 17 percent of his $2300 donations from in-state residents.

Mike Ciresi, by contrast, got 65 percent of his $2300 gifts from Minnesotans, including Stanley Hubbard (owner of KSTP TV and Radio, who typically gives to Republicans) and Marilyn Carlson Nelson of the Carlson Companies.

The biggest sector donating to Ciresi? At around 61 percent, lawyers.

Money for Nothing You find Bachmann’s staff salaries here.  What’s interesting is that our fiscal conservative congresswoman’s staff salaries have risen every quarter since she took office:

http://www.legistorm…

Total Salary Expenditures
2007
07/01/2007 – 09/30/2007 $180,022
04/01/2007 – 06/30/2007 $171,667
01/01/2007 – 03/31/2007 $168,465

Also, it’s nice to see we’ve been paying Rich Dunn and Heidi Frederickson over $15,000/month combined not to return phone calls.
