Initial Numbers in the 5th CD Suggest Average Turn-Out

The official counts at several polling places in the 5th district reflected average turn out as of 2 PM this afternoon.  It must be cautioned, however, that no meaningful conclusions can be drawn from this extremely small sample size.  The heated race on the DFL side in the 5th district has led many political insiders to expect above average turn out in the 5th district but it remains to be seen what the final numbers will look like.  The numbers are as follows (polling place followed by number of ballots processed as of 2PM):
- N Mpls (44th & Giraurd): 138
- N Mpls (Patrick Henry High School): 63
- Kenwood (Kenwood Park): 273
- St Louis Park (Rec Center): 268
