More Ramstad Color Envy?

With last week’s release of Jim Hovland’s campaign website, I noted that the site followed a familiar color scheme — that of retiring Republican Jim Ramstad.

In a letter dated Dec. 5, Ramstad’s predecessor Bill Frenzel endorsed Erik Paulsen, himself a Ramstad protege, state representative and (apparently more than) likely candidate for Ramstad’s seat.

The letter included a letterhead image from Paulsen’s campaign.

Compare to Ramstad’s campaign logo:

Interesting. Very interesting.

NFW! Eh, playing to your base I suppose.  But Paulsen should be adding something to the table, not just copying his predecessors.

Hovland’s logo is smarter – it maintains the orange/white scheme while using an updated modern font and the blue to signify his party switch – classy all around.

Frenzel Too Something tells me Frenzel used Orange on Black or something similar.

It’s Simple Orange is the combination of red and yellow.
