a 'do-over' could only be justified if an election-deciding margin of votes (225+?) were found to be irretrievably corrupted.

Please tell me when Norman Coleman ever recognized and acted upon any principle other than his own self interest. He shows up every day for the trial, stays all day, and collects his paycheck. And that money consists of our tax dollars, laundered through the Israeli Likudnik apparatus. Mostly, he just provides the current congresscritters with an example of how the Israelis make sure they take care of their own.

Find me someone who will stand up in the Senate and start hollering about how Don Siegelman and
Richard Scushy should be immediately pardoned and released from the clutches of the Rove/GOP
mafia in Alabama. Oh yeah - that would be Senator Al Franken, wouldn't it?

"The absence from the U.S. Senate of Democrat Al Franken — who was determined to be the winner by 225 votes of a statewide recount that’s been contested by Coleman in a St. Paul courtroom for the last month and a half — was felt most sharply last week as Senate Democrats struggled on votes to pass the omnibus federal spending bill."

If they can keep Al out of Washington until the President's first 100 days are over, I expect them to walk away. Doesn't Norm understand what a tool he is? If he REALLY gave one cent for Minnesota, he would have taken his dignity and thanked MN for allowing him to serve. Instead, he shows his true colors. One thing that Norm does NOT want right now is a do-over.
