UpTake in Iowa: Meet the Complacent MSM
Wednesday, January 02, 2008 at 11:18 pm
A crew from The UpTake got kicked out of an Obama campaign office in Iowa on Wednesday trying to film antiwar demonstrators. While the Obama press rep comes off as rude, it’s cameramen from another news organization, identified by The UpTake as members of corporate media, who look worse. They came to film volunteers working the phones in a last-ditch pre-caucus get-out-the-vote effort, and nothing would deter them from that job. “I don’t care,” said one cameraman into the lens, about the protesters inside: That’s a story for another day.
Departing, another camera operator hurled what was supposed to be a scathing barb at the videobloggers: “Make a DVD and send it to a film festival.”
Zing!
