Sen. Joe Biden, D-Del., Sen. Chris Dodd, D-Conn., and former Sen. Mike Gravel, D-Alaska, will drop out of the presidential campaign after disappointing finishes in the Iowa caucuses, according to several press reports.

doddDodd moved his entire family to Iowa for the duration of the campaign, but garnered only a single delegate to the Iowa state convention.  Biden did slightly better, but still lagged far behind the three front-runners.

Gravel did not win any delegates in Iowa, and was largely considered a long-shot candidate.

The withdrawal of Biden and Dodd leaves five candidates for the Democratic nomination: Sen. Barack Obama, D-Ill., who won the Iowa caucuses on Thursday, Sen. Hillary Clinton, D-N.Y., former Sen. John Edwards, D-N.C., Arizona Gov. Bill Richardson and Rep. Dennis Kucinich, D-Ohio.
