Rep. Michele Bachmann, R-Minn., speaking in support of the Middle Class Job Protection Act, which cuts corporate taxes by 25 percent, expressed her pride in Minnesotans working “longer hours” and “two jobs” on Wednesday.

“I am so proud to be from the state of Minnesota,” Bachmann said at a press conference today. “We’re the workingest state in the country, and the reason why we are, we have more people that are working longer hours, we have people that are working two jobs.”

The comments of Minnesota’s clingingest representative were punctuated by reports that inflation has reached a 17-year high and that Minnesota lost 2,300 jobs in December, prompting a state economist to declare that Minnesota is in a recession.

Pro Family? Isn’t it just wonderful that we have parents who work 16 hours a day, leaving the kids to fend for themselves?  What a wonderful way for kids to learn all about the nasty parts of the world first-hand, like theft and drugs and all that other great stuff that builds character!
