Oberstar sticks with Edwards

U.S. Rep. James Oberstar, D-Minn, told the Mesabi Daily News that he continues to support John Edwards for president, despite the candidate’s recent spate of third-place finishes.
Edwards had a disappointing showing in the Nevada caucuses, garnering only 4% of the vote, and is polling third in South Carolina, where his campaign had been expecting a strong showing. Despite his campaign’s struggles, Edwards says he’ll stay in the race until the convention, where he might be able to use his accumulated delegates to influence the nominating process.
