Rep. Bachmann again a squatter at SOTU
Monday, January 28, 2008 at 1:22 pm
According to Politico, Rep. Michele Bachmann, R-Minn., will be “squatting” again this year in anticipation of face time with President Bush at the State of the Union address tonight.
She’s among a handful of bipartisan Congress members who arrive hours early to ensure an aisle seat and, therefore a chance to embrace Bush and video cameras.
At last year’s State of the Union address, Bachmann got her embrace and time in front of the camera — a full 30 seconds.
That embrace earned Bachmann much negative criticism among detractors, and exemplified her staunch support of Bush.
