Seat Al Franken. This seat is his, fair and square. Norm - you only care about the process when it isn't going your way. Election Night, you were calling for Al to concede, even though the recount was legally mandated.

You're a fraud and I hope you never serve in Minnesotan politcs again.

Coleman needs to stop this court action. With every action Coleman proves he does not care about the people of Minn. plus he has questioned the honesty of the election process. Minnesota has always been championed for clean and fair elections.

AMAZING…..why doesn’t Coleman take his loss, he is facing two investigations, he and Texas Senator John Cornyn are involved in the story above and the Stanford ponzi scheme. Maybe the people will understand why a senator from Texas is so afraid of Al Franken, when Franken takes the Senate seat all of this dirt is going to pour out.

We have problems in this country….BIG…….Cornyn is part of the “Just say NO” and is up to his eyeballs in fraud charges along with Coleman.

If these so called elected officials really cared about the people they would face the charges and Coleman would step aside.

But with the GOP it has never been about the people, it is all about the power and the greed……the GOP controlled Congress got us into this mess with de-regulation, out of control spending and we have alot of work to do.

It makes me sick……here they are involved in all this crap and they are fighting for Coleman to win a race he has lost. Pawlenty’s poll numbers are dropping….the people are sick and tired of these rabid republicans who are covered in a shroud of deceit and unethical actions, their own personal agenda to line their pockets…..

Being a Texan, we are so sick of the stronghold the Republicans have here, our courts are full of right wing fanatics, all the way to the Texas Supreme Court….who spit on the little guy……

We have a lot of changes to make in this country, people need to educate themselves and listen to the truth, do not base their knowledge on the likes of a pill popping, Rush Limbaugh……a guy who was arrested for drugs…..I think the same kind of drugs that Palin’s daughters boyfriends mother was arrested with….they are referred to as hillbilly heroin according the Alaska press.

So, Coleman, get out of the way of the way……we don’t need your kind…and what a joke, if the new face of the GOP will include criminals like Coleman, Cornyn, Jhindal, that is great, we will have the time to restore this nation’s domestic and foreign policies, the disaster that Bush, Condi, Cheney, Rumsfeld, and the rest of those pieces of trash left behind as they took one last grab of big money and left.

First Coleman objected to a recount on the grounds it would cost Minnesota too much money. When that didn't work, Coleman and Franken sought the court's help rightfully so. However, the only reason Coleman continues what appears to be a losing battle in the courts is to buy more time. Not if, but when Franken is finally seated the Democrats will have 59 votes -- one vote short to overcome a filibuster. So keeping Franken out of the Senate for as long as possible, Republicans maintain leverage in blocking important legislation.

While the filibuster is perfectly legal and important for the minority to have a voice, the nature in which it is and has been used -- strictly as a way to stop every piece of legislation republicans do not like -- violates that intention. A few years ago, when Democrats, then the minority, threatened to filibuster (a couple of Bush's judges) Republicans went ballistic and threatened to abolish it. Now that they are the minority, the republicans filibustered 101 times last year compared to 54 times the previous year -- historic highs.

If Coleman had a strong case it would be different, but on the most part his legal arguments were specious and weak. Often he reversed positions from demanding certain ballots be excluded to demanding they be counted, contacted witnesses and pulled a host of other shenanigans.

Should he refuse to concede to Franken -- who, after the recount, won albeit by a very slim margin with 225 votes -- and take it to the state's Supreme Court, IMHO would be a grave error in judgment.

For all intents and purposes, prolonging the inevitable, even when that means the citizens of Minnesota are without representation, is not only unfair, it is for the wrong reasons.

Just seat Al Franken so justice can be done for our country. It is not a good thing when an election is not decided for so long. Al Franken has been the winner for months.

Now we witness how the law can negatively affect the good guys. The charades Coleman uses to keep Franken from taking MN senate seat is nauseating. If he doesn't get satisfaction from the latest attempt from the state, will Coleman try for the world court, or will he just throw himself on the floor in a temper tantrum? I'm putting my money on the tantrum, but dag nab it, we won't get to see that!

As good as the Minnesota election process is, unlike a number of other states, I cannot imagine that their lawmakers ever envisioned a court appeals process being so abused. Is there no way to end this sloooow-moving glacier? There have been millions spent on this appeal already.

Repug rats will do everything in their power to deny basic fairness to the American people. The ploy of holding Franken out of the US Senate will soon come to and end, but in the meantime meaningful legislative business is being polluted by the Repug creeps. We need to cleanse the Democratic party of the prating weak-kneed blue-dogs we have holding back the march to true democracy in our country.

And people made fun of NY Governor Pattison for not naming a Senator in 3 weeks.

Minnesota cannot run an election, I doubt it. The Governor needs to do the right thing and put an end to this nonsense if he desires to play a bigger leadership roll on the National Stage. I understand his awkward position but it is evident to the rest of the country who won the election and the recount process is complete.

This continued soap opera neither serves Minnesota or the country.

Minnesota, you could not have elected a better guy than this. Al Franken is a champion of the people. He will serve in Paul Wellstone's seat with dignity, honor and commitment. Thank you from an observer way out here in California.
