Just because it&#039;s DFL does not mean that their constituents haven&#039;t picked up the phone and told their legislators &quot;hell no.&quot; Just because you&#039;re a liberal doesn&#039;t mean it&#039;s automatic that same sex marriage will be universally accepted. I know way more liberals that are against gay marriage than I do ones for it. Your name is the Minnesota Independant, not the Minneapolis or Metro or Twin Cities Independant. What part of Minnesota don&#039;t you get? Get out of the city and go up north to the Iron Range or other communities that have DFL representation and ask people if they support gay marriage rather than running around on the U of M&#039;s campus and uptown asking the same thing and getting the predictable response. That is reporting.</description>

		<description>Marriage is an economic issue. Studies show that married people are slightly wealthier (pay more taxes) and healthier (less cost) than their single counterparts and this is true or even more true for gay people.
Therefore, it is in the state&#039;s best economic interest to allow for marriage equality.</description>
