Sen. Norm Coleman, R-Minn., endorsed Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., on Sunday in the race for the Republican nomination.
Coleman had previously endorsed former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani, who dropped out of the race last week.
“I have had the honor to work with John McCain since I first entered the senate in 2002. He is an effective leader who is the best person to lead the fight against radical Islamic extremism,” said Coleman in a press release Sunday. “John McCain is a committed conservative who will lower our taxes, stop wasteful government spending, and reduce the size of government. I am proud to support John McCain for president.”
