On Fox News Radio today, Norm Coleman vowed, “We’re going to push to the Minnesota Supreme Court.” He clarified his timetable after next week’s expected election-contest trial court ruling: “We’ll file [a petition to the state's high court] quicker than 10 days.”

It’s the first time Coleman himself has acknowledged publicly that he won’t gain enough votes to defeat Franken from the election-contest court but will take his case to the state Supreme Court.
Coleman, a Republican, trailed Democrat Al Franken by 225 votes after a statewide hand recount that ended in early January. His lawsuit contesting that result sparked a seven-week trial, with a milestone ruling yesterday that only 400 uncounted absentee ballots will be opened and potentially added to the vote count.

I suspect that after all is said and done, and, Franken wins the court cases, Coleman will have so poisoned his image here in Minnesota, that, he will move to Washington, and, become a higly paid lobbyist for Jewish groups like AIPAC. He has no future in Minnesota politics, and, if Pawlenty wants to run for govenor or senator, he will sign the election certificate when Franken wins, he has never won over 50% in his runs for govenor, and, his playing with the state budget deficit is not improving his image.
